Computer Vision Engineer Job Description

A Computer Vision Engineer must be very detail oriented, have a variety of skill sets and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Computer Vision Engineer develops and tests vision algorithms, implements and optimizes analytics and comes up with creative solutions for vision and control problems. This role also determines various project specifications and creates a schedule after studying project specifications and requirements. Computer Vision Engineers assist in the installation and running of product demonstrations and also participate in design reviews.

The qualifications for a Computer Vision Engineer include fluency in C++, OpenCV and PCL. Applicants should also have experience with 3D computer vision and video analytics algorithms, image segmentation, object and motion detection and 3D reconstruction. They should have knowledge of internal hardware, design logic and development experience in a similar environment. Jobs in this role require a minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
