Position Overview
As the Senior Associate, IT Security Systems Compliance Lead, you will support Invenergy's Reliability Compliance program for the entire Invenergy fleet focusing on the NERC regulatory compliance requirements associated with cyber security and plant operations. Based out of our downtown Chicago office, Senior Associate, Security Systems Compliance Lead will use their technical expertise to complete the job responsibilities with limited managerial oversight, while collaborating cross-functionally with subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation of Invenergy's CIP regulatory compliance programs in North America and Canada
* Independently drive end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of assigned deliverables supporting CIP compliance monitoring activities
* Maintain case file quality and write concise narratives that reflect the application of synthesized evidence to the applicable NERC Standards to determine compliance.
* Provide information technology security and operations proficiency and guidance
* Provide periodic NERC training to internal support groups and field personnel.
* Maintain awareness of emerging utility industry and cyber security issues through benchmarking
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with an engineering/power system focus and/or equivalent industry experience.
* 3+ years of experience in technical power plant operations and/or design.
* Demonstrated project management skills.
* Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems with limited managerial oversight.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
* Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
* Willingness to travel between 10-25%.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of applicable NERC cyber security rules is highly preferred
* Desired Certifications: CISSP, CISM, and CISA
* Advanced organizational, presentation/facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills
