Job Description
Role Summary:The successful candidate will join GE Healthcare's Centricity Universal Viewer Zero Footprint team. The team is building the next generation diagnostic imaging visualization applications that provide fast, secure and easy access to vital study and patient information across platforms.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead system design for GE Healthcare's Zero Foot Print (ZFP) product, including ownership of all engineering Design History File (DHF) deliverables
Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line
Ensure consistency across multiple scrum teams, formalization of user, system, and design requirements while collaborating closely with other Architects, Engineering Mangers and Product Managers
Lead definition of system performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
Ensure effective Design Verification and Validation activities in collaboration with Test Development Manager and Automation Architect
Own ZFP specific build and release (CI/CD) activities in collaboration with central CI/CD team
Analyze design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.
Contribute to the development of software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.
Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product OR Master's degree with 8 years of experience OR PhD with 5 years of experience.
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Chicago
Must be open to occasional travel to customer sites
Desired Characteristics: Deep understanding of modern technology in the areas of Front end technologies such as -Angular JS, Websockets, WebGL, Typescript, Karma and Jasmine. Server side technologies such as - Rx Java, Apache Camel, Spring/ Spring Boot, Junit, Multithreading
Good understanding of agile software development and the ability to understand requirements at system level
Exposure to developing software in a regulated environment.
Knowledge of GEHC's QMS and Design Control process (ISO 13485 & IEC 62304).
Familiarity with DICOM and Enterprise Imaging domain and products.
Gathers and analyzes data and develops architectural requirements at project level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy.
Reviews exceptions and makes recommendations to architectural standards at a domain level.
Demonstrate knowledge of business' structure (P&Ls) and the interplay of functions to support business goals; demonstrate knowledge of the business products, key processes, suppliers, customers and market/competitors.
