We are currently seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Engineerto join the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) Software Engineering team in McKinney, TX. As a critical team member, the Sr. Embedded Software Engineer will support this elite team of engineers, providing support to the warfighter by warning of incoming threats as well as providing point of origin and point of impact information about threats.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer will be integrated into a small software team in software development, integration, and testing of real-time systems. The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for hands-on technical work including designing, implementing, and debugging real-time software applications, as well as supporting problem resolution, software integration, and verification efforts. Our real-time software applications are developed using the C++ language executing on a variety of computing platforms running Linux and VxWorks operating systems.

The Sr. Embedded Software Engineer will have experience in requirements development, design, documentation, implementation, and integration of real-time embedded systems. This position includes supporting existing and new military programs. This role may include supporting customer demonstrations and software/systems integration and testing related travel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Develop software in C/C++
* Integrate software on the target system
* Apply investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess and resolve issues
* Contribute to the development of software requirements
* Contribute significantly to all phases of the software development life-cycle
* Communicate effectively with team members
* Up to 10% travel may be required

This position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:

* 8+ years of experience developing software utilizing C/C++
* Linux development
* Embedded real-time development
* Design, code, test, integrate phases of the software development cycle

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelors' degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
