Bring your software engineering talent, energy, and skills to Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Software Engineering Team!
IIS in Marlborough, MA, is seeking Software Engineering full time candidates with the technical and communication skills needed to support ongoing and emerging domestic and international Air Traffic Systems (ATS) and Next Generation (NexGen) weather data processing programs.
As an IIS Software Engineering new college hire you will support engineering activities including software requirements analysis, software design, software programming and implementation, software integration and test, and support to system selloff. Additional duties may include support to software documentation, software defect resolution, customer presentations, and software engineering process compliance and improvements; as well as, software development tooling integration and improvements. Candidates must be professional, a self-starter, and possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate has a willingness to learn project and organizational processes and procedures. The candidate must also be willing to work in a highly collaborative team environment in that most of IIS Marlborough ATS project teams are implementing Agile processes utilizing Scrum-based development methodologies.
Required Experience/Skills
* Fundamental engineering skills
* Course work in software engineering and computer science
* Programming skills in C, C++, Java/J2EE, and/or Javascript
* Proficiency in Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environments
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
* Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
* Experience working with teams with common project goals
Desired Experience/Skills
* Ability to work in a collaborative team environment using Agile methods and tools
* Course work in modern application architectures and/or methodologies
* Course work in requirements analysis, development, traceability and verification
* Course work on Technical Writing
* Course work requiring formal presentations to peer groups
Required Education
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Math, or Physics obtained by December 2019/Spring of 2020.
