Job Description

More than 100 million Alexa devices have been sold since it was introduced to the world in 2014. There are thousands of skills available for those devices. We need to get the word out to current and potential builders about how easy and fun it is to create skills. The Alexa Builders Communication team is creating the services that enable seamless communication to all Alexa skill builders on the developer portal (developer.amazon.com).

We are looking for software engineers that enjoy building on top of AWS services to make this a reality.

Specifically, you will:

* Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class builder experience
* Think big, bringing fresh ideas and interactions that make building Alexa skills easy and intuitive
* Utilize user feedback and metrics to deliver rapid iterations of software features
* Solve difficult problems with elegant and practical code
* Raise the bar on quality, consistency, maintainability, efficiency, security and all the other things that make great software great.
* Be a champion for the user: Insist on the highest standards, create functional and engaging features, and ensure their needs always come first
