Responsible for end-to-end project or
program management throughout the lifecycle of a software/system development
project/program (internal or external client facing). Direct and lead the
efforts of a project/program team to deliver a completed project/program and/or
service representing $2 to $10 M in capital investment. Consult directly with
internal or external clients on business goals, tools, strategy and best
practices of software development. Being accountable for managing concurrent
projects/programs of any complexity including projects/programs that span
multiple regions, functions and/or business units. Lead matrixed
cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced, complex, demanding, andever-changing environment with aggressive
deadlines; ensure team is fully versed on big picture and value to be delivered
to ensure effective evaluation of options and decision-making. Direct team's
activities utilizing the organization's software development life cycle (SDLC).
Interact with other project/program managers and with the Account Management
organization to ensure alignment of project goals and progress with client
needs and client priorities. Help stakeholders through scope negotiations by
providing solutions and presenting tradeoffs. Proactively track and monitor key
performance indicators to ensure project objectives are met throughout the
project; ensures that issues and risks are identified, understood early, and
dealt with in a manner that mitigates surprises. Provide clear and consistent
communication of project status within IT and with business partners; produce
executive-level presentations as needed; represents the project in various
governance forums. Provide financial forecasts, variance analyses, and ongoing
reconciliation of resource and other project-related spend. Define and track
project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall
integrated delivery plan. Utilize knowledge of business, industry and
technology to incorporate business process improvements into the organization
and/or to develop business strategies and function/business/technical
architectures.
Requires a
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Management
Information Systems, or Business Administration and five (5) Years of progressive,
post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) Years of progressive,
post-baccalaureate experience in IT project management. Position also requires
three (3) years of experience with full product lifecycle and planning projects
using JIRA, MS Visio, and MS Project; presenting to business stakeholders and
senior leadership; using Total Quality Management for business process
improvements; using Gantt charts, PERT, and CPM for planning and scheduling
projects; gathering and analyzing requirements; and experience with SQL to
process data and generate and analyze reports. PMP Certification required.AT&T is an Affirmative Action/Equal
