The Senior Security Architect determines security architecture requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements. The Senior Security Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Security Architect plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing security requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree * 7+ years of technical cyber security architecture experience, or 8 years' experience and 2+ years of project leadership experience * Experience integrating Cyber Security technologies with existing technologies * Experience implementing Cyber Security technologies with enterprise-wide impact
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree in a Technical Field * CISSP or CEH certification
