We are the Modern Workplace Verticals & SMB team in Teams which is focused on bringing in the next set of new users by adding necessary functionality to Teams. Among the industries/segments we are targeting : Firstline Workers (1B+ worldwide), Regulated Industries (Health Care, Finance, Government), Unregulated (Retail, Manufacturing and more). Some or all of these experiences could be applicable to the SMB segment.

We regularly collaborate with other seasoned engineers across Microsoft while learning a ton and working on a variety of technologies. Candidates should have some/all of below:

* 7+ years of software development experience and 1+ years of experience leading an Engineering team.
* BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
* Experience with DevOps environments.
* Working on cross team/org projects

Qualifications:

8+ years of industry experience working on commercial software application or services

1+ years of management experience

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline

Solid understanding of web and mobile technologies, service operations at scale, and ability to go deep in technical areas

Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically

Track record of delivering innovation and results, leadership and collaboration

Creates an inclusive and fun work environment where every employee engages effectively

Cares deeply about growing people, is an excellent coach, and acts as a role model.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building highly-scalable, fault-tolerant and secure services in cloud

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of engineers to build scalable features/scenarios (web and mobile)

Mentor and grow the engineers on your team.

Design, implement and operate end-to-end product experiences. We expect you to code 40% of your time. Lead the technical architecture and delivery of complex projects, interfacing with product, design, and a dozen dependencies

Collaborate with product managers to layout and manage the feature execution and rollout plan

Responsible for the quality of the features that ship to customers and for the live site when they are in production

Make technology and design decisions to deliver performant experiences

Collaborate with your engineering peers in Microsoft Teams and with the larger organization to reuse code/stack components where applicable and feasible
