The Nokia IP/IP and Optical Networking (ION) Business Unit has seen tremendous growth in our IP and Optical SDN and Automation Solutions over the last 2 year in North America. Driving IP and Optical SDN and Automation pre-sales engagements take a unique set of skills and we are looking for a special individual to join our team. The Regional Business Center (RBC) within the ION Business Unit is responsible for identifying new customer and growing new customers through a passion for IP and Optical networking. The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) is a critical new subject matter expert role that will be responsible consulting our customers and defining advanced SDN/Automation architectures to leverage the Nokia state-of-the-art WaveFabric portfolio. The CSA is dedicated to continuously exceeding our customers' expectations and user experience with the Nokia IP and Optical SDN/Automation solution set.
The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) shall work closely with his segment team business partners to support pre-win and post-win SDN/Automation activities including, but not limited to:
Participate and represent Nokia in key Transport related SDN forums and events (OFC, IETF, ONF, NANOG)
Drive & Define new lines of software business for existing customers
Drive & Define use cases and software product/solution architectures
Drive & Define Nokia lab prototyping / PoC software solution testing
Drive & Define Nokia lab remote software solution demos
Drive & Define Customer lab evaluation strategies
The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) should have a working knowledge of the related Transport technologies including, but not limited to:

Segment Routing
IP/MPLS
IGP
BGP
RSVP-TE/CR-LDP
The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) shall be required to quickly develop working knowledge of the Nokia IP and Optical Hardware and Software Portfolio including, but not limited to:

The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) is a customer facing role and therefore will require developing the following skills:
Quick thinking
Ability to lead complex discussion with customer architects
Ability to present and project confidence and expertise
Ability to build trust relationships with customer CTO and Advanced Engineering teams
Ability to build trust relationships with other Nokia IP and Optical teams (Sales Leadership, Product Line Managers, System Engineers, and Bell Labs Researchers)
The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) will be required to travel 30-40% of the time depending on city in which they reside.
IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) must have a Masters or PhD Degree in one of the following fields:
Computer Science (or similar curriculum)
Electrical Engineering (or similar curriculum)
The IP and Optical Consulting Solution Architect (CSA) should have 10 years' experience supporting OSS, EMS/NMS, and SDN/Automation strategies over IP and Optical Transport solutions including L0, L1, L2, and L3 technologies.
