Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Job Duties:

* Lead initiatives for the Mobile@IBM Engineering Squad, ensuring timely delivery and no user dissatisfaction in order to drive improvement of the mobile user experience within IBM
* Work with various IBM teams to architect, set up, test and deploy solutions in line with IBM's deployment guidelines
* Lead Proof Of Concept initiatives and user pilots, setting up communities, creating user documentation, responding to user queries / problems and ensuring that all significant issues are resolved prior to deployment
* Support the quarterly Mobile@IBM community calls as required, providing answers to end users about mobile usage in IBM
* Support the financial reporting for the Mobile@IBM Engineering squad
* Apply Agile Deployment techniques

The Team

Mobile@IBM Engineering is divided up into two main squads: MDM (Mobile Device Management) and MAM (Mobile Application Management).

Your role will interact with both of these squads, to work with the management of the end user mobile devices as well as to assist with the deployment to the various mobile apps developed globally by IBMers so they can be accessed throughout the internal IBM App Store.

A day in the life at IBM

Throughout the day, you will collaborate with your teammates and interact with our application owners, other CIO teams and sometimes with end-users- all while being based out of our Austin office.

* Take advantage of our on-site exercise room which includes cardio and weights
* Work in an open environment where creativity is welcome and encouraged
* Staying relevant to emerging trends in areas related to Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management, Mobile OS etc.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in Systems Administration
* Exposure to Mobile OS (iOS, Android) troubleshooting
* Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environment.

* MDM systems knowledge
