Brain Corp is a San Diego-based AI company creating foundational technologies for the mobile robotics industry. Brain Corp develops end-to-end solutions that allow the builders and users of today's autonomous machines to successfully develop, deploy and manage robots across commercial industries and applications.

BrainOS is the backbone of Brain Corp's technology platform. It is the leading commercial operating system for mobile robots and integrates with off-the-shelf hardware and cloud technology to provide machines with a cost-effective "brain". BrainOS has computer vision and AI libraries that enable the development of safe, smart systems that learn and adapt to people and complex environments.

Brain Corp is actively looking for a Lead Front End Engineer who will guide, mentor and lead the Tools Development team within the AI and Platform division. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining our whole suite of web applications. The web applications serve both internal and external customers, such as Robotics Developers and Operator, OEM Equipment Manufacturer, Internal Field Service and Support, End-Customers and End-Users. Here are a few examples of such applications that could serve one or multiple customers:

* Customer and OEM portals
* Tools for robotics fleet support teams
* Online map and route editors
* Fleet and Site management

Task & Responsibilities

* Architect, build and support our next generation of internal and external web applications
* Work with designers and product team to implement a particular look and feel
* Insure robustness of our web application suite
* Improve the quality of our entire user experience

What you need

* BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
* Strong experience making technical design decisions
* Strong leadership skills (mentoring, leading)
* Full Stack Web development experience
* Demonstrated experience in Javascript/HTML/CSS
* Development and architecture design experience in client-side frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)
* Experience developing in a UNIX/Linux environment

* Expert in React framework
* Start-up experience

This position is located in our San Diego headquarters and reports to VP, Platform and AI.
