Job Description

Are you a highly motivated, technology driven, experienced software engineer? BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to provide software development support from concept through development and integration to deployment of a large complex system.

This candidate will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design, code, and test new software in a rapid development environment to integrate, deploy, and support large, complex SW/HW based systems. We are looking for a proven engineer with demonstrated technical skills who can make an impact and contribute towards developing complex technical solutions.

The successful candidate will have:

* A demonstrated understanding of software development (i.e., software requirements analysis, top-down design, structured analysis).
* Experience in programming using Top Down, Event Driven, and object oriented paradigms.
* Experience using some of the following Programming Languages: JAVA, C#, C++, and shell scripting. The individual will code and test software based upon software specifications and designs, analyze and study complex system requirements, design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain software development, support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and use Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.

The candidate is expected to use sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant; provide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process; mentor and coach fellow Software Engineers; and interface with the following groups: software development, testing, integration, deployment, and sustainment.
