Job Description

Desktop Security Technician

The Desktop Security Technician will be responsible for managing and deploying security-related products to end-users as well as assist with auditing tasks for SOC2, ISO27001, and other certifications. The position will configure and deploy products to enhance end-user security, including, but not limited to, Laptop Encryption, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and patching.

Responsibilities

* Providing technical support and consulting services on all end-user security related matters
* Answering inquiries received at the Helpdesk for security related issues and accurately classifying, prioritizing, and recording the service requests into Zendesk ticketing system
* Working with users to appropriately diagnose the nature of their problems and resolving software, hardware, and mobile device issues
* Working with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
* Responsible for imaging, configuration, and deployment of new workstations
* Configuring the security products according to company policy and documenting the configurations as well as deployment processes and procedures
* Managing projects to deploy security related products
* Assist with auditing tasks to meet requirements for SOC2, SOX, ISO27001, and other certifications

Requirements

* 3+ years of experience in IT or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
* Proficient technical knowledge in various systems, hardware, software, and database applications
* Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to identify and solve problems with limited supervision
* Thorough attention to detail
* A positive, customer-friendly attitude
* Experience with deploying security products is a plus
* Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
* Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments
