Product Designers evaluate different ideas and ultimately turn them into tangible products that people can use. They are responsible for creating initial sketches, determining suitable materials for the product, making samples or working models and communicating with the client on what exactly is needed and wanted. Many times, the design may be created with computer software to produce the final schematics. Most employers ask that candidates hold a bachelor’s egree in a related field along with relevant field experience. Candidates should be familiar with 3D modeling software like CAD.
