We build simple tech tools that help tradespeople blast through their paperwork and spend more time on the things they love. We’ve got a big vision, a growing customer base, solid financial backing and bags of great ideas we can’t wait to make happen.

Our mission

We know too many brilliant builders, plumbers, painters and electricians are wading through paperwork when they’d rather be digging in on site, spending time with their families or, let’s face it, getting some sleep. So, we want to revolutionise the way tradespeople trade, through online tools that are simple, concise and save them lots of time.

YourTradebase is about building simple tech that makes life better – for thousands of tradespeople across the UK and beyond. Fast, simple, intuitive, life improving. It’s what tech should be.

Turns out, making other people’s lives better makes ours better too. Because building with the latest tools, working as part of a friendly team and writing quality code… well that feels pretty good.

Small, friendly and 100% remote

We’re an intentionally small team of five that fully embraces remote working. As well as staying a step away from the bleeding edge, we use some of the latest tools to help get stuff done and make working together easier.

You’ll find us across the UK and Europe, using Slack, Clubhouse, GitHub and Basecamp to stay connected, collaborate and get great work done every day. We have daily Slack stand-ups and plan our iterations weekly.

We enjoy being a small team – we work in a very agile way, have full input in the work we choose to get done, and take great pride in making our customers’ lives a little bit easier. We’ve a dedicated product and UI designer, and value collaboration between design and development to make sure we build a really great product.

We’ve been working this way for a number of years now, and our processes and documentation are battle-hardened! About four times a year, we meet in person for a whole day, somewhere in the UK, where we plan together, eat together and get some us-time together.

Here’s how our interview process plays out:

1. First up, a 20 minute chat with our CEO, so we can tell you a little more about us, and learn a little more about you. Making sure the fit is great is vital to us.
2. Next, we’ll give you a small technical test (in the language for the role).
3. Finally, you’ll have an about-an-hour chat with our CTO to talk tech, with the rest of the team jumping on towards the end to say hi 👋

We’re aiming to get whole thing wrapped up within a week or two.
