Storefront is the world's largest international marketplace for short-term commercial space rental. We connect brands with retail spaces for the purpose of pop-up shops, showrooms, product launches and other events. We're the “Airbnb for pop-up stores” and we want to revolutionize the retail industry.
Our platform powers over 10,000 listings, which represent more than 30 million square feet of retail space. We offer greater access to spaces in leading retail cities around the world, including New York City, Paris, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam. Since our launch in 2014, we have helped thousands of brands all over the world, including Google, Samsung and L’Oréal, open temporary retail stores.
Storefront consists of a team of 70+ passionate people, based in Paris, London, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.
We are building a global online marketplace to disrupt retail industry by enabling brands to book short-term spaces on demand. We are on a journey to build a lasting and dynamic company, and we are looking for top talent to join our team.
Our primary product uses an AngularJS single page application that interfaces with a RoR API server. We also run multiple Node.js services and an Elixir Phoenix service in an SOA architecture. As an engineer on our team, you get to work on a variety of high-impact features. Some of the more in-depth things we’re working on include; refining scoring metrics for listings using available data, using graph theory to drive recommendations, internal data warehousing and analytics, visualizing customer data (i.e. heatmaps), internal tooling for asset uploading, interfacing with our internal data to provide operations dashboards.
Our small team consists of a mix of engineers from traditional CS backgrounds (e.g. MIT) or hackers who’ve been coding for as long as they can remember. We are looking for self-motivated engineers who want to join a successful company in its infancy and help build, grow and scale it to a global market place.
