Solu's simple aim is to democratize the concept of legacy.

In December 2014, two of the co-founders attempted to help their grandpa write his memoir. After the agony of trying to organize his stories and get them published using Amazon's Createspace and Apple's iBooks, and even attempting to build a website and make him a Facebook page, it became rather self-evident that no practical way existed in the market to record a book-like memoir and preserve a legacy for the average Joe. Out of this struggle, a product was born.

Solu is a self-publishing platform combining voice+text and images+videos to paint a more complete picture of who you are. Each story told is compiled and presented into an engaging interactive memoir to be enjoyed by family and friends for generations to come. Solu combines the timeless intrigue of a book with the modern intimacy of a network, offering a familiar way of telling and a new way of listening.
