Satchel are a pioneering edtech company, founded in 2011 by a former Assistant Headteacher with the vision to make homework accessible to all. Today our suite of apps service millions of users every day with our flagship software, Show My Homework, being used by 1500 schools in over 23 countries.

We’ve grown rapidly and are continually expanding our product offering so we can reach as many schools as possible and provide them with a powerful learning experience that helps students reach their potential. We handle an average of 0.25 billion requests per week with an average peak of 50K requests per minute. Our front end is built entirely in Ember; our platform is built in Ruby and we are considering the use of other technologies as we move toward a microservices architecture
