"Corporate booking and travel management startups are ten a penny right now. But SalesTrip has a distinct point of differentiation." Amon Cohen, Specialist Business Travel Writer
By 2023, the business travel industry is set to be worth $1.7 trillion. It is currently dominated by SAP and hasn't changed for decades. It remains an uncontrollable cost and overall hindrance to business growth and where Sales, Marketing, Finance and HR have transformed into data-driven functions, travel still desperately lags behind. Our founders knew there was a better way.
While our solution is ground-breaking, we avoid calling it disruptive. People don’t want suppliers and systems to disrupt, they want them to help. So to us, making an impact means putting customers first, investing in an inclusive company culture and delivering a highly differentiated and incredibly useful product.
Our SaaS offering has two major components: CRM and the SalesTrip Engine. The bigger of these is the SalesTrip Engine - a powerful, scalable cloud-based beast built using best-of-breed technology. The engine encompasses a number of services hosted on DigitalOcean making our stack 100% cloud-based and instantly scalable.
We're looking for senior engineers to help take the SalesTrip Engine to the next level. You will ideally be someone with deep technical roots, excited at the prospect of working with new technologies. In this role, you will drive the development process of specific features in our product. You'll engage in problem analysis and outline implementation details. You'll code and build features in ad-hoc, multi-functional feature teams. You'll work in a full CI/CD environment using our Kanban-driven process. You'll take part in building, maintaining and supporting our service. You'll report to Sid, the Lead Architect of this platform area.
We are 16 people across the US and UK, HQd in London (Old Street-ish). Through 2018 we built the foundations of our product, acquired our first set of customers and expanded our engineering, sales and marketing teams. We are well-funded and now looking to further expand our engineering team with senior engineers to help us design and code the next phase of our platform.
The ambition of our platform is enormous - a SaaS offering that will need to scale to millions of of business users over the next 5 years. Right now the SalesTrip Engine consists of a handful of services predominantly created using Docker, NodeJS and MongoDB on DigitalOcean. As time goes on we expect to have to use different tech for those services that need further scale - we'd be happy if you were to help us design these future solutions!
We pride ourselves on a hiring process that is transparent, interesting and very quick to execute. Each interview will have role-specific questions or exercises but in general our process can be summarised as:
