What We Do

Our primary goal at QGenda is to allow healthcare providers to focus on what they care about most... providing the highest level of care possible for their patients. We achieve this by drastically reducing the amount of time that they have to spend on one of the most complex parts of their job, aside from patient care... scheduling.

QGenda provides a software-as-a-service platform that is able to utilize complex sets of rules to automatically generate and optimize physician work schedules based on individual skill sets, areas of specialty, availability, personal preferences, as well as many additional factors. This drastically cuts down the time required to build and maintain schedules.

How it all Started

In the early 2000s, QGenda founder and CEO, Greg Benoit, while still in high school, undertook a summer project for a family friend who happened to be an anesthesiologist, and desperately needed help with scheduling for his group. Greg originally used Microsoft Excel to help automate some of the tasks that had previously taken the doctor days. Several years later, as he was preparing to graduate from college, Greg had the idea of taking the work he had originally started in high school, and turning it in to a full-blown automated scheduling application. In 2006, in his spare time, while waiting tables full-time at local Italian restaurant in Atlanta, GA, Greg began work on what would eventually become QGenda. Without any outside investment, QGenda was officially formed in 2008. Over the next few years, QGenda would add a few employees in sales and customer support, but as the product started to mature, and the number of customers started to rapidly rise, in the early 2010s, the company quickly grew to become one of the fastest growing start-ups in the Atlanta area. To this day, QGenda remains 100% bootstrapped. While the company has grown vastly in terms of employees, customers, and revenue, our core values and culture remain largely unchanged from the days when we were a small start-up.
