Our team is comprised of people from all kinds of backgrounds – some of us pray, some of us meditate, and some of us just want to see more empathy in the world. Our engineers work at the cutting edge of technology to create a scalable web and mobile social media platform that meets our users ever changing needs, and helps them to grow their community, and their reach.

Our interview process

You'll have a 30 minute phone interview with one of the lead engineers or PMs on our team to ensure what you're looking for and what we're looking for are the right fit. If it is, you'll get a test via Hackerrank that we send to all prospective employees at this stage, customized based on position. After passing the Hackerrank, you'll then be invited out for on-site interview (or phone, if you're far away) at our sunny Santa Monica office, where you'll meet with 1-5 team members, tour the space, and get a feel for our culture. If all goes well, we'll chat with 3-5 of your references, and invite you to join the team. Once here, you just get to work with wicked smart people building things that are actually impacting the world every single day.

Founded in 2016 by serial entrepreneur Steve Gatena and his team of co-founders, Pray.com was incubated by Mike Jones (Current CEO of Science and former CEO of MySpace) and currently operates out of the Science space in Santa Monica, which has also seen the likes of Dollar Shave Club, DogVacay, and FameBit pass through its doors.
