  • PhotoShelter was founded by a couple of HotJobs founders and their photographer friends in 2006. Remember all the way back then, Flickr was just launching and the idea of throwing things to a web app was just starting to become popular. The founding team built a pretty sophisticated distributed system to host and manage any type of asset and focused on professional photography first with the intention of leveraging the base technology on other types of assets. And then kinda stayed on photos for a decade, carving out an amazing community of commercial and editorial photographers across the world. At some point, some people in the community decided they needed multi user functionality for their clients and that lead to the creation of a team oriented product called Libris that now has a pretty impressive client list and growing >100% yoy.

    PhotoShelter has a profitable core business and a growing SAAS business doing 100% yoy. We have a lot of interesting problems to solve and a real sense of scale...

    Our office is right on Union Square West so we're in the heart of NYC.
