Opal

Opal was started by its two cofounders, Naseem Al-Naji and Stephen Cobbe. After working an early engineering leader at two unicorn exits, Salesforce and Expanse, Naseem witnessed first hand some of the frustrations and vulnerabilities with granting engineers access to production. Stephen while working at Dropbox for many years witnessed them build out an internal tool with a dedicated team tasked with solving this problem. Together, they decided to make a one-size fits all solution to just-in-time access for engineering teams so no one has to dedicate internal resources to this again.
