Landis was born at Stanford, when Cyril, a former real estate investor, met Tom, a data science and technology specialist. They realized that by combining their areas of interest, they could have a significant impact on the old fashioned real estate market. Their vision is to create a data-driven marketplace for real estate properties: a sort of Amazon for real estate.
Landis currently focuses on transacting portfolios of off-market single family homes to institutional investors. These portfolios typically comprise of 10 to 50 properties and allow the buyers to gain scale quickly in their targeted geographies. Landis’s curation of portfolios result in buyer conversion rates 100 times higher than industry average. The company is poised to take advantage of the shift of single family homes going from retail to institutional investors.
