The Squad Story

Although most people won't admit it, meeting new people can be scary and hard. The possibility of being rejected is strong, and most of the time, it's easier not to put ourselves out there. There's been many attempts to get people over this rejection hump, most notably in the form of dating apps like Tinder (and all its competitors).

However, there's two main problems with dating apps:

• First, they focus on one-to-one interaction. This means you have to make the tough choice between hanging out with your friends, or meeting someone new (who could possibly be your soulmate! but probably isn't)
• Second, they focus on explicitly romantic interactions. This means that when you do choose to meet said new person, you have to decide after a relatively short amount of time whether to be romantic with them, or to never see them again. Friendship is typically not an option.

Those are two problems we don't like, so we created Squad to solve them. We believe the solution to this problem lies in adding your friends to the equation, and removing the explicit romance from the interaction.

Solving these problems presents a huge opportunity, and we're looking for special individuals to come join us as we figure out the solution.
