In late 2012 Bram, Doug, and Mike began developing an advertisement technology solution for "Mobile Real Time Bidding". Their mission was to create a solution that would automate "performance marketing" removing the account management processes for advertisers.
Starting in 2005 smart phone device adoption & usage grew faster than anyone could have predicted creating nearly unlimited mobile advertisement supply. Advertisers took advantage of the supply surplus by only purchasing media on a "Cost Per Install" or performance basis. This excess supply and performance advertising model created a highly fragmented and inefficient market place.
In early 2012 efficiency emerged through creating of mobile supply side platforms like Mopub where advertising opportunities would be sold on a fixed cost basis through a competitive auction. Mobile Real Time Bidding grew to 113M in 2013, and is forecasted to be a 440 industry in 2014.
