ctrlio uses machine learning to help businesses understand the competitiveness of their deals, in real-time, so that they can make offers with the best chance of conversion, at the moment that matters.

We're a short walk away from Moorgate, Old street and Liverpool Street station - we're based in a TechHub office, a great place for startups! There are plenty of local spots for breakfast or a really good coffee (Ozone is our local favourite).

You'll be working closely with other engineers and data scientists on building out the capabilities of our SaaS platform, working on developing and deploying highly scalable, high performance REST APIs for competitive insurance pricing insights - or building, training and testing advanced predictive models with the data science team.

We'll make sure that you have the right tools to do the job, and healthy snacks, drinks and great coffee to hand.

There is a huge amount of cross-over between the engineering disciplines so there is always a new technology or practice to learn!

    The interview process

The interview process will start with a brief 15 - 30 min call with the CTO to chat about your experience, introduce ctrlio and answer any questions you might have.

If things all go to plan, we'll ask you to take a technical exercise with us that involves forking a Git repository and undertaking some tasks around building out a RESTFul API. We don't expect this to take too long and you'll have a contact on hand for any questions!

We'll follow up with a review and feedback really swiftly - If successful we'll get you in to meet the entire team to talk through your exercise so that both you and the rest of the team can ask questions and get a feel for our culture and fit. We'll aim to get you final feedback the same or following day.
