We started BuildBetter because we love insanely great products. BuildBetter is, at its heart, a product-driven company. We believe every company should have access to the tools to become product-led, and those tools should accelerate the rate of innovative products companies build.
We love the unboxing of a new iPhone, the smell of a new car, the ease of the one-click checkout, the customer support that answers in minutes, the fun onboarding, the startup sound of our favorite consoles, the return label that comes in the box, that pair of headphones that you can wear all day, the products that "just work" and feel like magic.
We believe that products aren't just what you hold in your hands but spans from the first interaction with a company to support, returns, or resale. We believe that companies that build for every part of the customer experience win. And we know that isn't easy to do.
If you're reading this, you're in one of two camps:
- A sales-driven company with a thin veneer of internal publicity devoted to being product-driven.
- You've been lucky enough to work at a product-driven company and want to share that with the rest of the world. We believe the future of business should be product-led, not sales-led. This means focusing first on retention, engagement, and CES, not ARPU, CAC, or APV. We also believe the best people (you) want to work for product-led organizations.
We're a fully remote company that values deep work, though a few required meetings are required here and there, including Monday Commitments and Friday wins. We don't care much about "signaling," if you're working like being on Slack or putting in "enough hours," we care about tangible output. We seek constructive criticism and listen intently when others speak. We don't take ourselves too seriously and try to genuinely enjoy each other's company with our Slack filled with frequent memes, music posts, and constructive critiques of each other's work.
