Software is meant to improve our lives, but with the influx of software applications, each with their own best features, comes the scattering of work. Email in one place, calls on cell phones, texts in another app, and the list goes on and on. If you’re like most people then you probably use at least 8 to 10 apps just to run the basics of your life, and let’s not even start to add applications when it comes to running a business or corralling a team.

Being a Berkeley and Harvard educated Economist this idea of one application doing one thing really well, makes me happy because the idea echoes the words of Adam Smith who argued that every person should specialize in a single thing, and with that the maximum amount of productivity would be achieved.

Being a Business owner, investor, and student though the idea of a single application to run the smallest things in the world made me tear my hair out. Hunting through applications you probably have noticed the integrations that many offer, but those only help so much and still leave you jumping around for data. Automations help with single repetitive tasks, but even those don’t lessen the number of places I have to look to find the information I needed. Desperate to find a solution i tired one of those all in one platforms that hosts the majority of needs in one place. What I found was Economists were right, one application with a single specialized task was the only way to go.

With no solution on the market I decided that I, without a tech background nor knowledge of how a computer really works, would build the ultimate solution. Keep everyone using the apps they love, but connect them all with one unified dashboard and platform. The Bearish OS was born because I was tired of compromising my time, productivity, and work in favor of using fewer apps. The nature of technology is to make our lives easier, and with the Bearish OS we hope to help make the lives of everyone easier.

No more needing to jump from app to app, no more wondering where something is with easy cross platform search capabilities, never forgot something with a simplified note system, understand all your communications and interactions no matter were they come from with easy data points and much more. Yet all this wasn’t enough for me because connections, organization, and supercharged applications would solve the problem of getting things done, but what would solve the problem of over working. This is why the Bearish OS allows for the ultimate control over your notifications, the ultimate control over your time, and the ultimate control over your communications. Mute everything with a single click, get summarized messages and emails with a click, and understand which apps you’re wasting your time with.
