Business Analysts review and evaluate business systems. They help identify critical operational objectives for companies by gathering day-to-day operations data and studying business functions. They may also prepare technical reports and define project requirements by setting milestones and mapping out a budget range. Other possible duties include modifying system designs and defining marketing approaches.
Most Business Analysts have a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business analysis or a business-related field. They work in different industries and may also be referred to as system analysts, management consultants and business architects. Business Analysts may also be hired as consultants or work full time managing multiple programs.
